It would be easy to sub-contract engineering support and avoid the hassle of recruiting and managing a dedicated resource - however experience suggests this doesn't allow us to control the quality of the installation or develop an in-house level of expertise. Our strategy is long term focussed therefore we needed to align our support ethos to this vision, so from 2011 we initiated the engineering recruitment programme.
As telematics systems become more and more complex it is necessary to build a knowledge base and so retain the expertise derived from field experience. For larger projects we setup a quality control process using external suppliers closely supervised to maintain our own exacting standards.
Our installation process into our customer's vehicles may take longer than normal but our aim is to complete the job to the highest standard and not require a re-visit during the contract period.
