I have been a customer of Overview Mapping for several months and my experience of the company thus far has been extremely positive. I did a good deal of research into what was available
on the market and had a number of demonstrations. When Chan from Overview came, we were so impressed we literally signed up on the spot. Perhaps a little hasty? Possibly, but the decision has
turned out to be the right one without a doubt. The areas that I feel Overview stand out from other tracker providers can be explained as follows.
Product and Installation The tracking devices themselves are small and can be installed covertly if required. It is virtually impossible to tell if a vehicle has a tracker fitted and this has a number of
advantages. The devices have proved to be both accurate, resilient and easily transferable to other vehicles if necessary. The engineer arrived at the appointed time and had a professional approach to
the installation. The first ten trackers we had fitted were done covertly with none of our staff knowing what was being done. After consultation with Overview, we arranged to install the
trackers to the vehicles offsite and even pretended to be testing exhaust emissions to ensure no one found out (which they didn’t). Reason for this was, we wanted to know the driver behaviour for a
couple of months before telling them we’d had the system installed.
Software The software is impressive, and there are certain elements which are far superior to others on the market, such as Geofences and alternative mapping solutions. There seems to be a
robust system of product development in place with regular software updates (at no extra cost). The system has been up and running continuously since we started our contract with no down time. It is
accessible from any web browser, giving complete flexibility to the end user. The reporting facility has been well thought through and provides an excellent set of reporting tools for managing fuel,
time and costs.
Customer Support We have had very little need to contact customer support, however when we have done so, the response has been rapid, polite, courteous, and completely satisfied our queries
immediately.
Further Development and Overall Company Ethos. Customers are actively encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions for further product development. Overview have a unique ability
to blend the needs of small businesses with those of large corporate organisations which in turn provides a package which is diverse in its market, rich in functionality, and has the potential to
support the growth of its customer
