The VDR BlackBox is ideal for use in all vehicles from taxi’s and buses to HGV’s. The Blackbox works by recording all driver activity such as speeding, severe braking, cornering and driver behavior. Multiple camera inputs allow you to record internally and externally, also giving you clear views of the road. The system can be customised to your requirements and is ideal in covering both the front and rear of the vehicle as well as the side blind spots. You can record the driver from inside the vehicle from the sides, behind or from the front. The box allows you to analyse the driver’s journey using software which also integrates with Google Earth®, giving you accuarate images at street view level.

The video recorded by the cameras can be seen in real time using an optional monitor, making it an ideal reversing and blind spot camera system. The video can also be downloaded afterwards and watched via a laptop or computer. In a recent European Commission report, the VDR Blackbox was ranked number 2 among the most cost effective road safety technologies.

The VDR is a small lightweight device that can record using multi camera inputs, with an optional microphone for recording audio. Also incorporated into the device are G force sensors and an optional GPS module.

It comes with user-friendly software, which bookmarks incidents so the footage is easy to locate. It allows you to analyse the driver’s journey using software which integrates with Google Earth® giving you images at street view level. The encrypted software is also password protected for extra security.
