Family firm EM Rogers implemented Verilocation's VL-CANbus in 17 of it's vehicles, covering it's European and UK haulage and covered car transport. The company was concerned at the mounting price of fuel in 2008 and knew that some drivers were consistently more fuel-efficient than others. Transport administrator Sarah Rogers says: "We've had the system in since September 2008, monitoring CAN-bus information. It allows us to see where there is harsh braking, idling, etc. That's our main interest in using the system. It's so much more valuable than just seeing where people are and sending them messages."
