VeriLocation

New customers purchasing the VL-Fleet GPS tracking system from VeriLocation can now chose to add a low cost security pack. There are two features in the pack:

1. an on-board battery on the GPS device to allow for live tracking even in the event of a full electrical failure on the vehicle ( as seen when the wiring is disconnected from the main battery )

2. a relay switch controlled from the website to allow customers to remotely immobilise the vehicle with the press of a button. Schedules can be setup to allow for on-going immobilisation at certain periods ( such as weekends )

Andrew Overton, Managing Director at VeriLocation comments: "We now give our customers even more control by effectively offering tracking and immobilisation in the event of theft plus theft prevention."

Note that the vehicle is not immobilised "in journey" but once it has come to a rest and the ignition switched off. It is then impossible to re-start the vehicle.
